Pastor Ty Bio
Pastor Ty was born April 20 1964,
the son of Warren Phillips Jr. and Gracie
Holland. Born in a military family he grew up in several places. He
attended high school in his parents home area of Woodville, TX after his
father retired from the Air Force, graduating in 1982. He went on to
college graduating from Baylor University in 1986. He joined the navy in
1987 and served for 7 ½ years before leaving the navy in 1995. He
owned his own business from 1995 to 1998 while he served in youth
ministry in churches in Ohio and West Virginia. In 1998 he became
Associate Pastor of Chevy Chase Baptist Church in Washington,
DC, where he remained until 2003. Answering the call to the senior
pastorate, he served as pastor of Redland Baptist Church from 2003 until
2010.
